Our shot
film ‘mera Lahore’ is based on Lahore and its culture portrayed by an old man.
In his early age he used to be a painter and had always opposed dictatorial
regime. Our film also aims on showing the effect dictatorial regime has on a country
and its people and how such a thing that seem minor to some is major for
others, to the extent that the helplessness leads to them having thoughts and
feelings of taking their own life because they no longer see the country they
were born in.
Genre:
Social drama
Duration:
5-6 minutes.
The film starts with a man sitting by a window, bent and busy writing something. he stops all of a sudden, leans back on his chair and gazes out of the window.
the next few scenes show flashbacks of how lahore used to be.colourful nd bright, where people could move freely, when there was freedom of speech, freedom to practise their own religion. FREEDOM TO LIVE
it is then showed that military regimes is forcefully introduced, putting a full stop to the life of those who believed in freedom, just like our protagonist.
the man is shown in a solitary confinment where he is suppressed where he goes cluless, where he losses his sanity. all he remembers is that this is not his country, this is not his city which was full of life before the dicatorial regime was imposed on them.
